D.B. Sport and Scale. Tinker

The Tinker is a D.B. sport and scale kit created in 1972 by Dave Boddington. Designed as an internal combustion (IC) powered trainer sports biplane, it was based on the earlier single-winged Tyro model.
Paul built his three-channel Tinker around 2014 using a DB Models plan, which included a laser-cut rib kit and an aluminium undercarriage. Although originally meant for IC power, Paul easily built his version with an electric powertrain.
Today, the kit remains available in two sizes for both IC and electric configurations. It can be purchased as a fully laser-cut version and built either with or without ailerons and features the option of wing bolts instead of the older elastic band method.
Paul remarked that he doubts there is any easier plane to fly than the DB Models Tinker.
