Example of a simple egg drop box. There are plenty of different examples used at the club over the years. This is one I used three years ago and it worked well. it can be attached to any plane with ease. I havent used it for a bit as I now always use my banchee and I have built a drop hatch into the airframe.

This 68" balsa model of a Avro Vulcan B2 Strategic cold war bomber is believed to have been built from a sarik hobbies plan by Graham Dorschell and was designed as a twin electric pusher. This model was brought already built with the single turbine in place of its bulged rear tail cone. It is now fitted with Xicoy X45 Turbine and not only flys great it sounds great too.

The Newport and District Model Flying Club organised a Streamer Cut competition in the summer of 2025 at its flying site at Childs Ercall Airfield (formerly RAF Peplow). In this round, Richards’ Flying Wing not only achieved first place but ultimately secured overall victory in the competition. During the heat, the Acrowot Foam-e lost its streamer but was able to continue participating. Remarkably, the event concluded without any aircraft sustaining damage.

Bob built a 72-inch twin electric Effpeevee from a Sarik hobbies plan in late 2010, originally designed by David James for FPV use but repurposed as a sports twin. The balsa and ply model performed well during its maiden flight at Ex RAF Peplow in January 2011.
